ABOUT INSECTS

Insects are an extremely diverse group of arthropods found throughout Australia and in every continent except Antartica. They are characterised by having a 3-Segmented body made up of the Head, Thorax, and Abdomen. From the thorax elso extrudes 6 segmented legs and from the head, antennae which are commonly used to survey the surrounding area.

Due to the diversity of Insects as a whole, I will break down this category into "sub-catgories" (orders) to make your search easier.

Below you will find a comprehensive list of Insects I have observed in the wild around Whyalla and the surrounding regions.
